Iranian architect authoring book on Islamic residential design.
TEHRAN, Aug. 16 (MNA) -- Iranian architect and scholar Gholam Hossein Memarian is writing a book about architecture in Islamic countries.

It will be published by the Islamic Encyclopedia Foundation and will focus on the architecture of traditional Islamic housing.

The work will review details of houses built by Muslims in various countries and will highlight similarities between the structure of residences in different regions.

Memarian is conducting research in Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Malaysia, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Egypt.

“Vault Structures in the Islamic Architecture of Iran”, “Introduction to house typology in Iran”, “The Style of Iranian Architecture” and “Research on Iranian Traditional Architecture” are amongst Memarian’s previous works.
